TL;DR

  • New York Giants suffered five straight losses after early season success.
  • Head coach Brian Daboll was dismissed due to the team's struggles.
  • Injuries to offensive stars like Malik Nabers and Cam Skattebo impacted the team.
  • Cam Skattebo participated in a planned wrestling segment on WWE Monday Night Raw.

The New York Giants have experienced a significant downturn. Following victories against the Los Angeles Chargers and Philadelphia Eagles within a three-week span, bringing their record to 2-4 and suggesting they were poised to be a formidable NFC contender, the Giants have now suffered five straight losses, resulting in the dismissal of head coach Brian Daboll.

The Giants' recent struggles are largely due to numerous injuries affecting their offensive stars. Malik Nabers sustained an ACL tear, Jaxson Dart was sidelined for Week 11 due to a concussion, and running back Cam Skattebo sustained an ankle injury that ended his season during the second game versus the Eagles. Despite these setbacks, the rookie running back didn't shy away from physical play.

WWE Monday Night Raw  took place in Madison Square Garden on Monday, and Skattebo was sitting ringside with comedian Andrew Schultz. In a bit that was clearly a planned spot for the show, Dominik Mysterio, Finn Balor, and J.D. McDonagh got into a brawl with Skattebo and Schultz.

Many fans may hold their collective breaths watching Skattebo get physical, considering his injury and not wanting to see him risk getting hurt again, but WWE has done far more with other stars. Jelly Roll competed in a match earlier this year, and Speed was speared by Bron Breakker.

All things considered, this was a fun and harmless spot on a wrestling show.
