The New York Giants have the No. 5 overall pick in the 2026 NFL Draft, and they have plenty of needs to fill for new head coach John Harbaugh.
But the biggest priority might have to be continuing to add offensive help for the guy they hope will be the face of their franchise, QB Jaxson Dart.
And if that's the priority, there's an obvious wide receiver on the board to take.
ESPN's Mel Kiper Jr. Put out his latest mock draft, and in it, he has the Giants selecting Carnell Tate out of Ohio State with the fifth pick.

That would make Tate the first WR off the board, and he'd join Malik Nabers to give Dart an incredible combination of outside receivers.
The Giants would still then have to decide whether they try to re-sign Wan'Dale Robinson to play the slot, too.
"Taking a first-round wide receiver wouldn't be new to recently hired coach John Harbaugh; in Baltimore, he used four Day 1 picks starting in 2015 on the position (Zay Flowers, Rashod Bateman, Hollywood Brown and Breshad Perriman)," Kiper writes. "This also would be the fifth straight year we've seen a first-round wideout from Ohio State. Tate would bring fantastic route running and reliable hands to MetLife Stadium. He caught 51 passes for 875 yards and nine scores for the Buckeyes this past season."

Tate was part of a dynamic 1-2 combo for the Buckeyes with Jeremiah Smith, who may be the first WR off the board in the 2027 draft.
A chance to join Nabers would be appealing to Tate, and certainly would be the kind of thing Dart would love to see.
The Giants' future depends on Dart working out, and putting the best players possible around him is a good place to start.
