Former Giants coach Brian Daboll gets first known head-coach interview with AFC team image

Former New York Giants head coach Brian Daboll is getting a look for a head-coaching vacancy.

According to NFL insider Jordan Schultz, Daboll will interview for the head-coach job of the Tennessee Titans. That will take place on Friday, Schultz adds.

"Sources: The Titans will interview former Giants HC Brian Daboll for their open HC job on Friday. First known NFL HC interview for Daboll," Schultz reported.

This is the first known head-coach interview for Daboll, who was fired by the Giants during the 2025 regular season after Big Blue went 20-40-1 on Daboll's watch over three-plus seasons.

Daboll got off to a great start to his Giants tenure by going 9-7-1 and making the playoffs and winning a postseason game in 2022.

But the wheels came off after that and the Giants went on to post 6-11, 3-14 and 2-8 records under Daboll in the three years that followed before he was canned.

Daboll's stint was marred by a lot of losing and a ton of dysfunction. It was pretty surprising he lasted as long as he did.

While it's highly unlikely Daboll is going to get another chance as a head coach right away or ever considering how poorly things went in New York, there is a good chance he'll get an opportunity as an offensive coordinator somewhere.

Whether that's this year or next remains to be seen, but this interview could open the door for him to land an offensive coordinator job with Tennessee.
