The Green Bay Packers won't have the services of running back Josh Jacobs for the Week 12 game against the Minnesota Vikings.
Jacobs suffered a knee injury in Week 11 that put him on the injury report in Week 12. After logging limited practices and taking the decision all the way up to game day, Green Bay has reportedly decided to keep Jacobs out for Sunday.
Here's the latest from NFL Network's Ian Rapoport:
"Josh Jacobs pushed all week to play despite his bone bruise and thigh contusion. But the Packers decided to play it cautiously with a short week upcoming. There was no pregame workout, just a conversation when Jacobs arrived. There is hope he could play Thanksgiving at Detroit," Pelissero reported.
With Jacobs out, the Packers will now turn to Emanuel Wilson as their starter.
Here's some fantasy football start or sit advice.
Emanuel Wilson start or sit advice
We know Wilson will be the lead back for Green Bay this week because he has operated as the clear-cut RB2 in the offense this season.
Wilson draws a matchup against a Vikings defense that is giving up the 14th-fewest fantasy points per game to running backs, so this isn't a scary matchup at all.
Good matchup or not, Wilson's expected heavy workload alone makes him a strong flex option, at worst in Week 12.
Verdict: Start
