The New York Giants have hit the ground running to start the offseason, doing all they can to find the best possible head coach. New York fired Brian Daboll after a 2-8 start, the eighth loss coming to the Chicago Bears where Jaxson Dart suffered a concussion and the Giants blew a double-digit fourth-quarter lead.
And while the Giants moved on from Daboll, he doesn't seem to have any ill will toward the team. As a matter of fact, he appears to be doing the organization a big favor in their head coaching search. Per Dianna Russini, Daboll has given good reviews of the Giants and Dart to head coaching candidates.
Brian Daboll giving New York Giants great reviews to head coach candidates
"I've actually spoken to coaches interested in the Giants job who have had conversations with Daboll," Russini said on the Giants Huddle Podcast. "And they've gotten rave reviews about this Giants job, specifically about Jaxson..."
The Giants have been connected to several big names in the current coaching pool, including John Harbaugh and Kevin Stefanski. Whether those specific names have reached out to Daboll is unknown, but the fact that Daboll has been saying good things about the organization certainly can't hurt New York.
