Brian Burns breaks silence after Giants OTA brawl ended practice image

The New York Giants underwent another day of OTAs on Thursday ahead of a season that will be very important for the future of head coach Brian Daboll.

Unfortunately, things took an ugly turn. The practice ended with a massive brawl breaking out featuring a number of players. The fight involved Brian Burns, Kayvon Thibodeaux and James Hudson with punches being thrown by multiple players.

"Huge fight at #Giants camp. Brian Burns just sprinted in from the sideline. Tackled Hudson to ground in a fight. Kayvon Thibodeaux threw some punches, too. Tensions started play before. Almost went down there. Hudson, Burns separated. After the next play through things really broke out," per SNY's Connor Hughes

Hughes then added that Jermaine Eluemunor and Thibodeaux got into it on the next play, causing the team to end practice early in a concerning scene.

After things came to an end, Burns spoke to reports about the incident, per SNY

"Heat got to us," Burns said. "It's a violent sport we play. Guys trying to get better. Tensions raised a little high. Heat got a little hotter so get a little more agitated. It ain't that deep. We squashed it."

"I feel like it's at times, I feel like it's healthy to a certain extent," Burns said about it.

Still, a fight breaking out between teammates at OTAs is not a promising sign, although Burns didn't seem to bothered by the way things went down on Thursday at practice.
