During a routine OTA practice for the New York Giants today, things took an ugly turn for the worse. Several players started throwing punches at each other during a heated moment during some drills, and eventually players from the sidelines even joined in.
Huge fight at #Giants camp. Brian Burns just sprinted in from the sideline. Tackled Hudson to ground in a fight. Kayvon Thibodeaux threw some punches, too.

Tensions started play before. Almost went down there. Hudson, Burns separated. After the next play through things really…
Obviously there's going to be a lot of physicality when football is played, even during June practices. These are professional athletes at the top of their game, and the hitting and the (sometimes) good-natured taunting can make for a tense atmosphere. Sometimes all it takes is one comment or one extra shove to provoke an all-out brawl, and it looks like that's what happened here.
This is something no fan ever wants to see. People can get hurt during brawls, and especially at this point in the season you'd hate to see that happen. It also distracts from the good things happening, like when Russell Wilson threw an absolute dime-ball the other day.
Hopefully, now that some frustrations have been vented, the players can move on, come back together as a team tomorrow, and get back on track to have a great season.
