The New Orleans Saints are in the middle of an odd season. While they're 5-10 and have been eliminated from playoff contention for some time, it's been a successful season.

Tyler Shough and Kellen Moore have gelled right away and look to be a great pairing for years to come. With Chris Olave as the top target and Devaughn Vele flashing, the Saints have some hope.

But, for Week 17 against the Tennessee Titans, there was some concern that Olave couldn't go. Fortunately, as Nick Underhill of NewOrleans.football reports, the Saints WR is expected to play and be a "full go" for Week 17.

Saints get good news on Chris Olave for Week 17

"Chris Olave is traveling to Nashville and is expected to be a full go tomorrow, per source," Underhill reported.

While there's still a chance that Olave doesn't completely suit up at 100% for the Saints this week, this report is a clear indication that Olave has every intention of playing.

His connection with Shough has blossomed late this season, and continuing to build that connection to close out the 2025 season would be huge not just for the Saints but also for Olave as he seeks a new contract.

New Orleans isn't rolling around in cap space, but they have the means to fit Olave's new deal onto their books. A strong finish for Olave, akin to what he showed in Week 16, would be a huge boost in contract talks.

He has 92 receptions for 1,044 yards and eight touchdowns this season, which was aided by an incredible 10 catch, 148 yard and two-touchdown day in Week 16.

His connection with Shough has been great, and the two are set to flash once again in Week 17 against a leaky Titans secondary.

Not only is Olave expected to be active, but Underhill's report indicates that Olave is a "full go" and will have no limitations this weekend.

The Saints are getting their number one receiver this week despite a back injury that has made him limited in practice this week.
