New Orleans Saints fans have plenty of reasons to be excited after the emergence of quarterback Tyler Shough, who has quickly become a face of the franchise.
Shough was recently named Grand Marshal of a Mardi Gras parade and has fully embraced the Louisiana lifestyle since arriving in New Orleans.

The NFL’s Offensive Rookie of the Year and Defensive Rookie of the Year awards are determined by the Associated Press and are considered the league’s official honors, which will be presented during NFL Honors on Feb. 5. However, the NFL has also named Shough as one of six finalists for its fan-voted Rookie of the Year award.
Shough put together an impressive rookie season, but the competition for the honor is strong. Fans can cast their votes at nfl.com/rookies.

Who are the finalists?
Below are the six finalists and their regular-season statistics:
- Tyler Shough: 2,384 passing yards, 10 passing touchdowns, 91.3 passer rating, 186 rushing yards, three rushing touchdowns
- Jaxson Dart: 2,272 passing yards, 15 passing touchdowns, 91.7 passer rating, 487 rushing yards, nine rushing touchdowns
- TreVeyon Henderson: 911 rushing yards, nine rushing touchdowns, 35 receptions for 221 receiving yards and one receiving touchdown
- Ashton Jeanty: 975 rushing yards, five rushing touchdowns, 55 receptions for 346 receiving yards and five receiving touchdowns
- Tetairoa McMillan: 70 receptions for 1,014 receiving yards and seven receiving touchdowns
- Carson Schwesinger: 156 tackles, 2.5 sacks, and two interceptions
