The New Orleans Saints played their final home game of the season on Sunday.
Could it be the final home game in New Orleans for Cameron Jordan and Demario Davis?
The possibility is there for the two veterans that have given so much to the Saints.
"The two longtime Saints defenders certainly looked ageless in a game that was dominated by the Saints defense," writes ESPN's Katherine Terrell. "But Davis and Jordan, both of whom turn 37 in 2026, have contracts that void in the offseason. That means a future in New Orleans isn't certain next season. However, each proved his case for another year, with Jordan's two sacks pushing him to 8.5 for the season, his highest total since 2022."

Returns for Jordan or Davis likely depend on a couple of factors.
The first is on their side: Do they want to retire? Do they want to keep playing? If retirement comes, clearly there's nothing the Saints can do about that.
Then there's a mutual factor of money. If the players and the Saints can line up on the same value, then it's a lot easier to get a contract done than if they aren't in agreement.
There's also the matter of how New Orleans views its future. The Saints can continue to build up a young core, and then they have to decide how much they value having veterans like Jordan and Davis around those younger players.
The reality is that the Saints probably couldn't go wrong by bringing both these guys back, if they want to.
But the chance is there that they won't play a home game for the Saints again after Sunday, and if that happens, well, it's been quite the run.
