Buccaneers' GM trolls Saints' Cameron Jordan after Week 8 blowout image

The New Orleans Saints fell to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Week 8 by a score of 23-3. Tampa Bay blew out the Saints, as the New Orleans offense couldn't manage to get much going on the ground or through the air.

Both Spencer Rattler and Tyler Shough got a chance in this game, with each throwing for less than 140 yards on 21 and 30 attempts, respectively. Both also added interceptions, with Rattler's resulting in a pick-six.

After the blowout game, Buccaneers general manager Jason Licht posted a video on Twitter/X that trolled Saints defensive lineman Cameron Jordan over something he said about the Buccaneers' status as contenders going forward.

Buccaneers GM Jason Licht trolls Saints' Cameron Jordan.

Licht's video trolling Jordan began with an old quote from Jordan, where he said, "You  know, Tampa Bay will go back to where Tampa Bay's been."

Jordan was referencing the years of struggle from the Buccaneers in between their Super Bowl appearances in 2002 and 2020. While he didn't state that the Buccaneers wouldn't be good going forward, it was implied with his comment.

Licht, following the Buccaneers' beating of Jordan's Saints in Week 8, posted the video making fun of Jordan for his comments and his stat line in the loss.

Jordan, in the Week 8 matchup against the Buccaneers, recorded just one assisted tackle. The veteran Saints lineman played 25 snaps, or 43.1 percent of the Saints' defensive snaps, on Sunday. But he recorded just one stat, an assisted tackle, which Licht poked fun at.

In year 15, and at 36 years old, Jordan has had a solid year for the Saints. He has 2.5 sacks, 20 tackles, four tackles for loss, and five quarterback hits.

But his Week 8 performance, against the division rival Buccaneers, allowed for Tampa Bay general manager Jason Licht to troll Jordan not just for the loss, but for his performance.

It's strange for an active general manager to troll an opposing player, but it's not the first time that Licht has trolled Jordan for these comments, as he's done so multiple times over the last few years.
