Alvin Kamara injury update: Latest news on Saints RB's status in Week 8 game image

It appears the New Orleans Saints might have an injury concern with running back Alvin Kamara in the first half of the Week 8 game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Kamara appeared to get banged-up on the Saints' final offensive series of the first half after reeling in a catch from quarterback Spencer Rattler. With Kendre Miller out for the season, Devin Neal would take over lead back duties if Kamara doesn't return.

UPDATE: Saints sideline reporter Jeff Nowak spotted Kamara on the sideline with his helmet on, so that's a good sign for his chances of returning.

UPDATE: Kamara was not out there for the Saints' first drive of the second half, but there is still no update from the team.

So, it isn't clear if Neal was just taking that drive or if Kamara is actually hurt.

UPDATE: Here's video of the play in which Kamara may have been injured. It looks like Kamara's left leg got caught under the defender.

Kamara was able to get off the field under his own power, but he looked a bit hobbled on his way off. He was tended to by a trainer upon exiting the field.
