The New England Patriots appear set to not have two of their key offensive players for the Week 10 game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
According to the Boston Herald's Doug Kyed, neither running back Rhamondre Stevenson nor wide receiver Kayshon Boutte are practicing on Friday.
"WR Kayshon Boutte, RB Rhamondre Stevenson and LB Christian Elliss miss all three Patriots practices this week," Kyed reported.
Considering the fact that neither player practiced on Wednesday or Thursday, either, this is a very strong indication that neither one is going to play in Week 10.
Stevenson suffered a toe injury in Week 8 and will now miss his second straight game. Meanwhile, Boutte is dealing with a hamstring issue he came down with during the Week 9 win over the Atlanta Falcons that forced his early exit.
With Stevenson out, the Patriots will once again lean on a combination of rookie TreVeyon Henderson and Terrell Jennings. Henderson led the way with touches against the Falcons and we would expect that to happen again.
New England will once again be looking for a significant contribution from DeMario Douglas, who stepped up after Boutte's exit last week. Of course, Stefon Diggs and Hunter Henry will also need to do more.
Tampa Bay and New England will kick off from Raymond James Stadium on Sunday at 1 p.m. ET.
