Rhamondre Stevenson, Jaylen Warren get similar injury updates for Patriots, Steelers in Week 12 image

The New England Patriots and Pittsburgh Steelers are both chasing key playoff positioning in the AFC.

And as Week 12 got underway, it wasn't clear whether either would have their lead running backs, Rhamondre Stevenson or Jaylen Warren.

But now on Thursday, the news is looking up.

Stevenson and Warren are both back on their respective practice fields.

Is Rhamondre Stevenson playing this week?

Stevenson is shaping up to play this week.

He's been back at practice as a limited participant, and as long as he gets a good report Friday, he should be back from a toe injury.

The rookie TreVeyon Henderson has shone in his absence, but a Stevenson return probably leads to a frustrating carry split once again.

Is Jaylen Warren playing this week?

Warren, too, is trending toward playing.

After missing Wednesday's practice, Warren was back on the practice field Thursday.

Warren left Sunday's game with an ankle injury, and Kenneth Gainwell had a big finish.

But it looks like the injury won't keep Warren out for long. As long as he has a good Friday, he'll likely usurp his top role back from Gainwell.
