The New England Patriots were hoping to get some good news before the week was over.
It came on Friday for rookie running back TreVeyon Henderson.
Henderson was concussed on Sunday, and he was a limited participant in practice on both Wednesday and Thursday.
Both those days, Henderson was wearing a red non-contact jersey as he went through concussion protocol.
On Friday, though, Henderson was there at practice in a standard jersey. It seems a big step in the correct direction.
Patriots RB TreVeyon Henderson is here and out of his red non-contact jersey.

The Pats could be down multiple skill position guys with Kayshon Boutte and Mack Hollins not practicing all week.
But a healthy Henderson would allow the Pats to embrace the run game against an overmatched Jets team in Week 17.
With New England closing in on the AFC East title, they'd love to have Henderson healthy and ready to go.
