Kayshon Boutte injury update: Patriots roster move is bad sign for WR's playoff status image

The New England Patriots' No. 2 wide receiver, Kayshon Boutte, is questionable to play in the Wild-Card Round matchup against the Los Angeles Chargers.

Boutte popped up on the injury report on Thursday due to a hamstring injury. He turned in two limited practices during the week before being labeled questionable.

On Saturday, the Patriots made one roster move in particular that is a bad sign for Boutte's chances of suiting up.

On Saturday, the Patriots announced the elevation of practice squad wide receiver Jeremiah Webb ahead of kickoff against the Chargers.

This is a clear indication that, at the very least, the Patriots think there's a chance the third-year wideout won't play on Sunday.

We'll get final confirmation on Boutte's status an hour and a half before 8 p.m. ET kickoff on Sunday night.
