Crazy detail shows Patriots concern about Bill Belichick and Jordon Hudson started a long time ago image

The drama involving North Carolina head coach Bill Belichick and his 24-year-old girlfriend Jordon Hudson is not going away anytime soon.

As of now, Belichick is still the head coach at North Carolina, although the former New England Patriots coach has been in plenty of headlines the past few months, and not for good reasons.

While Hudson being in the spotlight is new given his new role with North Carolina, Bill Simmons and Pablo Torre talked in great detail about the Belichick drama, and some interesting details emerged regarding Belichick's time in New England.

"I think this is kind of alarming how this has gone for the last couple of months," Simmons said. "I've admired everything he's built and something about this makes me uneasy."

"This goes back to the last couple years of the Pats when it felt like the wheels were starting to come off a little bit," Simmons said. "They bring in Jerod Mayo...Kraft annoints Mayo as the successor...And Belichick stops talking to May basically, by all reports, and it's just super weird, and at the same time, apparently, he's with this Jordon Hudson."

Belichick and Hudson reportedly met during a flight in 2021 when he was still with New England, and Simmons mentioned that timeframe in his comments.

So, the ending of Belichick's New England tenure was a bit sour, and at the same time, at least according to reports, Hudson was around the Patriots coach in some capacity.

After the 2023 NFL season, Belichick and the Patriots parted ways and Mayo quickly was named the coach in a very unsurprising move by the franchise. And, as Simmons said, Belichick had stopped talking to Mayo during the final run with the team while also mentioning the Hudson tidbit.

It's quite the situation with Belichick in Chapel Hill, and it just continues to grow by the day, although it has apparently been in the works since the ending of his time in Foxborough.
