The New England Patriots are experiencing a significant upswing for the first time in quite a while. With a 10-2 record, they currently boast the NFL's top standing and the top seed in the AFC, positioning Mike Vrabel as a strong contender for Coach of the Year.

On Tuesday, Vrabel's former coach in New England garnered attention. According to Josina Anderson, six-time Super Bowl-winning head coach Bill Belichick is a candidate for the head coaching position with several teams.

"I'm told 'at least two NFL teams' are still expected to have interest in talking to Bill Belichick, behind-the-scenes at the very least, about head coach jobs this Carousel season, per a league source," Anderson reports on X. "A third team could also enter the mix, with desires to talk, particularly if one specific personnel change is made under ownership, the source added."

Belichick presently leads the University of North Carolina as head coach, with His Tar Heels holding a record of 4-7 and 13th in the ACC standings. He had previously interviewed for the Atlanta Falcons head coaching position in 2024, but the Atlanta franchise ultimately selected Raheem Morris. Following that, he sat out the 2024 season, making appearances on The Pat McAfee Show  during that period before agreeing to coach at North Carolina.
