Minnesota Vikings quarterback Carson Wentz left the team's Week 5 game with a shoulder injury, of which the severity is unknown at the time of writing. Should he miss any amount of time in the game, though, that would mean rookie Max Brosmer would enter the game for his first action.
Brosmer had a terrific college career at the University of New Hampshire from 2019-23, throwing for over 8,000 yards and 70 touchdowns. he transferred to the University of Minnesota for the 2024 season, throwing 18 touchdowns in 13 games with the Golden Gophers.
The Vikings waived former Falcons quarterback Desmond Ridder ahead of this game, which does leave Brosmer as the only other quarterback readily available for the Vikings.
