The Indianapolis Colts are obviously most concerned with the near-term question of who they're going to have to play quarterback this week.
But the Daniel Jones injury, a torn Achilles that ended his season and also puts Week 1 of next season in doubt, has created a lot of other questions, too.
The big dilemma here is that Jones is on a one-year contract. He's a free agent when the season ends.
Do the Colts re-sign a guy on a torn Achilles? Where does Jones find the most security and comfort to rehab?

ESPN's Dan Graziano and Jeremy Fowler went back and forth on this in a new debate article on Wednesday, with them both surmising that the Colts are the most logical landing spot on some sort of shorter deal.
But they've posited one other option: the Minnesota Vikings.
Jones spent the second half of the 2024 season with Minnesota as a backup after being released by the Giants.
"Another is that it would make sense for him to go back to Minnesota, where he finished last season as Sam Darnold's backup, and rehab there with a staff that knows him and wanted to retain him but couldn't guarantee him the starting job this past offseason," Graziano wrote.

That's a fascinating idea. If Jones went to Minnesota, he'd be a veteran that could eventually challenge J.J. McCarthy for his starting job.
Jones' recovery timeline would even potentially give McCarthy at least a few weeks at the start of next season to prove whether he deserves to keep the gig or not. But by the time Jones was ready to play, the Vikings would likely have their answer.
It's an unfortunate timing for Jones and the Colts, but it definitely raises the level of uncertainty and intrigue for the offseason ahead.
