Miami Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa partly blamed the locker room following Sunday’s loss against the Los Angeles Chargers.
In the latest update, it seems the quarterback is already walking back on his comments.
According to NFL insider Cameron Wolfe, Tagovailoa is dealing with the post comments stir and is taking action to get on good terms with teammates. Ahead of their Week 7 game against the Cleveland Browns, the Dolphins quarterback has apologized to his teammates for his comments about a lack of interest in locker room meetings.

After their narrow 29-27 defeat against the Chargers, a game Miami let slip in the final seconds, Tagovailoa aired the Dolphins' locker room's dirty laundry in front of the reporters.
"I think it starts with the leadership in helping articulate that for the guys, and then what we're expecting out of the guys," Tagovailoa said. "We're expecting this. Are we getting that? Are we not getting that? We have guys showing up to player-only meetings late. Guys not showing up to player-only meetings.
There is a lot that goes into that. Do we have to make that mandatory? Do we not have to make that mandatory? So it's a lot of things of that nature that we got to get cleaned up. It starts with the little things like that."
Dolphins HC Mike McDaniel calls Tua Tagovailoa's comments "misguided"
According to head coach Mike McDaniel, Tua Tagovailoa's comments were a “misguided representation” and that it was not the right place to air what's happening inside the clubhouse. McDaniel told reporters that even though Tagovailoa had no malice toward his teammates, it signals a wrong idea of the current state of the team.
McDaniel confirmed that the quarterback “directly communicated with a lot of guys, starting with last night” and said the quarterback will “live and learn” from the incident.
The hope is that Tua Tagovailoa gets over the stir started from his locker room remarks and leads the Dolphins in a better way to improve upon their 1-5 start.
