The Cleveland Browns have changed their starting quarterbacks this year, while Deshaun Watson makes progress in his torn Achilles injury. An update dropped on Wednesday for the Browns fans in regards to Watson's injury in the middle of a disappointing season.
NFL insider Adam Schefter shared that Watson is “a good month away from being cleared for any football activity.” This means Watson will be cleared in November for football-related activities.
While this doesn't mean the quarterback will get some regular-season action in December but the fans can get their hopes up as they see a tough transition with Dillon Gabriel not living up to the expectations after being promoted to the starting role.
"There hasn't been a conversation about when or if he'll play again," Schefter added.

Watson tore his Achilles twice last season. He has thrown 19 touchdowns and 12 interceptions over three seasons with the Browns. He is signed to a five-year, $230 million extension.
Deshaun Watson's injury: What happened?
In Week 7 of the 2024 NFL season, Browns quarterback Deshaun Watson suffered a non-contact injury that resulted in a torn Achilles tendon. He went under the knife on October 25, 2024.
Then, in January, during his exit physical, Watson stated discomfort, and further evaluation of it revealed a re-rupture of the same Achilles tendon. This required the quarterback to undergo a second surgery.
Since then, over the past month, Watson has made some progress. He has come out of wearing a walking boot and has started throwing again. Browns head coach Kevin Stefanski said the quarterback is doing a "good job" in rehab and in team meetings. But Browns fans should know that despite the positive update, there's a good chance Watson won't play this season at all.
