The Miami Dolphins are trying to get their first win of the season against the New York Jets, and Tua Tagovailoa and Tyreek Hill were the main instigators of it.

But the football gods must have been in attendance at Hard Rock Stadium, as with the Dolphins driving in the third quarter, up 10-3, Tua hit Hill for a 10-yard pass on third-and-eight, but things went horribly wrong from there.

Hill made the catch, but he got his legs trapped underneath him, and his ankle, per the broadcast, was pointing in the other direction.

The images we saw suggest a broken lower leg/ ankle, and NFL Network's Ian Rapoport posted on X that Hill was ruled out with a knee injury and is on his way to a "local hospital for imaging, evaluation, and observation."

Hill was in good form prior to the injury, having six catches for 67 yards, but now his night is done, and based on what we saw from the television broadcast, his season might be over, too.

But you wouldn't know it with Hill seen smiling and waving as he was being transported back to the locker room on the cart.

Dolphins must do without Hill vs. Jets

The Dolphins are locked in an AFC East battle with the Jets and, without Hill, must now rely on Jaylen Waddle, Darren Waller, and Malik Washington in the passing game to get their first win of the season.

We aren't sure how long Hill will be out for, but it is a fair assumption to think that his season might be over, and we hope it isn't. Now, others have to step up and fill his void because, without Hill, the explosive element to Miami's offense is no longer there.

Hill appeared to be in good spirits as he was being carted off, but Miami fans will be devastated that their No. 1 offensive weapon might be done for the year.
