As of recent years, the relationship between wide receiver Tyreek Hill and the Miami Dolphins hasn't panned out to what the two sides have wanted.
Hill, 31, began his Dolphins career with electric seasons in 2022 and 2023, finishing both campaigns with 119 receptions and over 1,700 receiving yards while adding 20 combined touchdowns. Since then, Hill has yet to register a 1,000 receiving yards season and was shut down early in 2025 with a season-ending knee injury.
It seems that the Dolphins' star is frustrated with the current state of his career and is hinting at wanting out of Miami.
Tyreek Hill's recent post on X hints at return to the Chiefs
On Thursday morning, Tyreek Hill posted to X, saying that he's put in a request to return "home."
Since we putting in request I want to go home 😎 https://t.co/2708WBsrUE

Now, could "home" be to the Kansas City Chiefs, the place he spent the first six years of his NFL career after being drafted in the fifth round in 2016?
Or maybe it's closer to his hometown of Pearson, Georgia, a town that is just a few hours up the road from Atlanta, where the Falcons play at Mercedes-Benz Stadium?
Although it may be something to monitor throughout this NFL offseason, there are complications to the request Hill is making.
He still has one year remaining on the three-year, $90 million extension he agreed upon with the Dolphins before the 2024 season.
A roster move will have to take place between the Dolphins and Hill, with a release from the team being the most plausible action.
With Miami letting go of Mike McDaniel after the 2025 regular season, there's a high chance that major moves will take place for the Dolphins franchise. One of them could involve Tyreek Hill.
