The Miami Dolphins are entering the final game of the 2025 NFL season with very little to play for other than incentives and pride.
They've been eliminated from playoff contention, and now look to close the year and start 2026 on a high note. For this regular-season finale, the Dolphins are looking to get an idea of who can have an impact in 2026.
While rookie quarterback Quinn Ewers is already starting, the Dolphins have gone out and added another rookie to their quarterback room. According to NFL Network insider Tom Pelissero, the Dolphins have poached a rookie QB from the Las Vegas Raiders for the regular season finale.
Dolphins poach rookie QB from Raiders for season finale
"Former North Dakota State QB Cam Miller, the Raiders' sixth-round pick who has spent the season on Las Vegas' practice squad, is signing to the Dolphins active roster, per his agent @JLSports3," Pelissero reported.
The first day of 2026, and the Dolphins have made a very savvy move. With the offseason for the Dolphins and other eliminated teams just around the corner, signing Miller is a great move for the Dolphins to make.
Even if he doesn't play for the Dolphins in the regular season finale, he's a great pickup for Miami as he's a low-risk, high upside signing.
There's little reason for the Raiders to let Miller leave, especially since he's a rookie draft pick who was stuck behind a few veterans who likely won't be the long-term answer for the Raiders.

Now, the Dolphins are getting two rookie draft picks in Ewers and Miller for their quarterback room. With the massive looming contract hit of Tua Tagovailoa, having cheap, young quarterbacks is paramount.
This signing is a great move for Miami. They're getting a head start on the offseason by bringing Miller in, who now joins a quarterback room looking for young and cheap talent just like him.
This is a mistake from the Raiders to let their rookie sixth-round quarterback leave to join the Dolphins. And for Miami, they get a rookie for nothing, stealing him from the Raiders, who should've had him on the 53-man roster.
