The NFL featured several standout performances on Sunday, but few loomed larger than Miami Dolphins running back De’Von Achane’s breakout showing against the Buffalo Bills. Achane dominated from start to finish, rushing 22 times for 174 yards, including touchdown runs of 35 and 59 yards. He was equally productive in the passing game, finishing with a team-high number of receptions and 51 receiving yards, second only to wideout Jaylen Waddle. In total, Achane racked up 225 all-purpose yards in one of the most complete performances of the week.

Following the win, Achane joined the “NightCap” podcast with former NFL stars Shannon Sharpe and Chad “Ochocinco” Johnson to discuss both his performance and the Dolphins’ mindset amid recent turbulence surrounding the franchise. Achane said the team made a conscious effort to tune out outside noise.

“All this nonsense that people had been saying about us,” Achane said. “We just made sure we kept everything in-house. It don’t matter who we’re playing—we gotta make sure we go out and play 100%, no matter our record, no matter what they’re saying. When you sign that contract and you go out on that field, I need you playing 100%.”

Achane certainly lived up to that standard on Sunday. His production helped Miami secure its second win in its last three games, improving to 3–7 following weeks of scrutiny and internal frustration.

The Dolphins will now travel to Madrid for an international matchup against the Washington Commanders, another 3–7 team. Washington enters the week trending in the opposite direction, having dropped five straight games.
