There's no better nickname for a kicker than the one belonging to Harrison Mevis.
The Los Angeles Rams' placekicker is known as "The Thiccer Kicker."
He's getting his first NFL regular season action recently in place of the kicker the Rams cut, Joshua Karty.
Here's how he got the nickname.
Why is Harrison Mevis called 'The Thiccer Kicker'?
Mevis is a hefty fella. It's really that simple.
What does Harrison Mevis weigh?
In college, Mevis was listed at 5-foot-11 and 236 pounds for the Missouri Tigers.
When he played in the UFL, that was raised to 6-feet, 242 pounds.
Mevis once made a 61-yard field goal Mizzou, an SEC record.
Mevis made 86 field goals in his college career.
Mevis finished the 2025 spring season in the UFL, where he went 20-for-21 on field goals for the Birmingham Stallions. His longest make was from 54 yards out.
Now, he's on the Rams, showing that a thick kicker can get the job done.
