The Los Angeles Rams have seen quite the shift in their backfield over the second half of the 2025 campaign.
After usually dominating touches, Rams starting running back Kyren Williams has been ceding more and more touches to second-year back Blake Corum, which has frustrated Williams' fantasy football managers.
Here's why the Rams are deploying that strategy.
Why Rams are giving Blake Corum more touches
The reason behind involving Corum more has to do with keeping Williams fresh for later in the regular season and the playoffs when games matter the most.
"Just because he can do it doesn't mean it's best for him over the long haul and the longevity of the season, especially if you're fortunate enough to earn an opportunity to play after the 17," McVay said of Williams.
There was a belief that Williams was a bit gassed in the playoffs last season, so it makes sense for the Rams to try something different.
It's not like Corum has been a hinderance for the Rams' offense, either, as he's been playing at a high level since seeing increased touches.
