The Los Angeles Rams and Sean McVay apparently missed the memo.

— Warren Sharp (@SharpFootball) January 19, 2026
only 4 runs to 13 passes
runs are averaging 4.5 YPC
runs are recording a 100% success rate
Bears rank #28 vs the run
not sure why so much passing from McVay, but needs to get back to the run game

The Rams even have a quality two-pronged backfield of Kyren Williams and Blake Corum.
It's not that having Matthew Stafford throw the ball is a bad move, especially when he has Puka Nacua and Davante Adams to work with.
But especially on a brutal winter night, it seems like running the football is the move to make.
