The Los Angeles Rams came very close to defeating the Philadelphia Eagles in the NFC Championship Game this past January. They responded to that by adding Davante Adams to replace Cooper Kupp at receiver, creating a terrific one-two punch with Puka Nacua.
There was some lingering questions for Adams and his seemingly-poor relationship with backup quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo that stemmed from their time with the Las Vegas Raiders. On the Netflix show Receiver, Adams was constantly frustrated with Garoppolo and the Raiders as a whole. However, Adams made it clear that he has no problems with the veteran quarterback.
"I love Jimmy," Adams said. "It was never a personal thing ... that was just a dark moment in all of our lives. I think all of us were pretty miserable over there."
Adams and Garoppolo will have ample chances to improve their chemistry while Matthew Stafford misses practice due to a back injury.
