The Los Angeles Rams are back in the win column after another impressive outing in Week 14, beating the Arizona Cardinals with a final score of 45-17.
Quarterback Matthew Stafford should be labeled as an MVP candidate after adding 281 passing yards and three touchdowns to his season numbers.
The 37-year-old leads the league in passing touchdowns (35) by a wide margin while having the fourth-most passing yards (3,354) on the season.
With their win on Sunday, the Rams are back in the driver's seat in the NFC.
Rams reclaim No. 1 seed in NFC
With the Los Angeles win and the Chicago Bears' loss on Sunday, the Rams have come out of the other side with the No. 1 seed in the NFC.
The Rams lost the top spot after the Week 13 loss to the Carolina Panthers, but after the Bears lost to the Green Bay Packers in last-second fashion in Week 14, Chicago dropped all the way down to the seven-seed while Los Angeles reclaimed the top spot.
However, Los Angeles can't take its foot off the pedal. The NFC West is the most competitive conference in all of football right now. Although the Rams are 10-3, the Seattle Seahawks (10-3) and the San Francisco 49ers (9-4) are both within one game of the Rams.
They hold a tie-breaking lead over the Seahawks in the division after beating them back in Week 11, but the rematch between the two teams will take place in Week 16.
Although Los Angeles may look like the best team in football right now, there's a lot of work to be done.
One small hiccup can take the Rams from receiving a first-round bye and home-field advantage in the postseason to shooting down to being a Wild Card team that will have to gut their way through the postseason on the road.
This final stretch of the regular season is make-or-break for the Rams to set up another Super Bowl run. Which would be their second in a five-year span.
They will take on a hungry Detroit Lions (8-5) team in Week 15, with matchups against the Seattle Seahawks (10-3), Atlanta Falcons (4-9), and Arizona Cardinals (3-10) to close out the regular season.
