The Arizona Cardinals are among the five remaining NFL teams that are looking for their next head coach. The Pittsburgh Steelers, Buffalo Bills, Cleveland Browns, and Las Vegas Raiders are the four other teams.

Arizona has been one of the quieter franchises in its search for a new lead man after parting ways with Jonathan Gannon after the 2025 regular season.

In the middle of all of the coaching shenanigans, senior NFL insider Adam Schefter provided an update for the Cardinals on Friday.

Rams' Mike LaFleur among two other candidates for Cardinals HC position

Shefter spoke on the Pat McAfee show on Friday, saying that the Cardinals are still "looking at" Los Angeles Rams' offensive coordinator Mike LaFleur, Jacksonville Jaguars defensive coordinator Anthony Campanile, and former Atlanta Falcons head coach Raheem Morris as candidates for Arizona's vacant head coaching position.

Mike LaFleur is the brother of Green Bay Packers head coach Matt LaFleur. He's been the Rams' offensive coordinator since 2023 and helped lead Los Angeles to being one of the best offenses in the NFL this season.

The Rams were the No. 1 team in total yards per game (394.6), passing yards per game (268.1), and points per game (30.5) in 2025.

Jaguars defensive coordinator Anthony Campanile is the only coach among the three who has completed multiple interviews with the Cardinals.

In his only season as Jacksonville's defensive coordinator, the Jags gave up the least amount of rushing yards per game (85.6) and finished in the top 10 for fewest points allowed per game (19.8) in 2025.

Raheem Morris is the only candidate with head coaching experience in the NFL. He was fired from the Atlanta Falcons' top position after having back-to-back 8-9 seasons with the team.

The defensive-minded coach served as the youngest head coach in the NFL (at the time) for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers from 2009 to 2011.
