Rams legend hints at NFL comeback from retirement with insane workout video image

There’s probably not a comeback happening in Los Angeles.

But holy cow, Aaron Donald certainly looks ready to return to the NFL if he ever wants to.

One of the greatest defensive tackles of all time, the Rams legend Donald actually turns 34 on Friday. He retired after the 2023 season.

Donald’s caption is the best: “I need some heavier weights.”

We’ve heard that pushing around offensive linemen can be some heavy lifting.

To be fair, Donald did make that task look like light work for the entirety of his college career at Pitt and his NFL career with the Rams.

In Donald’s 10 seasons, he had 111 sacks and 176 tackles for loss. Those are insane numbers for an interior defensive lineman.

He went out after a solid 8.0 sack, 53-tackle season. His decline hadn’t really begun in earnest.

Donald chose to leave while he was still in peak form. And that video makes it look like he’s still in peak condition.

The Rams would certainly pick up the phone on the first ring if Donald ever called. And NFL offensive linemen and quarterbacks everywhere likely shudder at the thought of a potential Donald return.
