Announcer jinxes aren't real.
But sometimes they feel like they are.
That was the case for the Los Angeles Rams on Sunday in Week 6.
Joshua Karty lined up for a 26-yard field goal in what hasn't been a perfect start to this season.
Karty entered the day 9-for-12 on field goals, with multiple kicks blocked already this season.
The announcers pointed that out, mentioning that it's been a rough special teams season for the Rams.

Immediately, Karty doinked his kick hard off the right upright.
Ultimate announcer jinx like I’ve never seen 😭 Lining up for the FG he says Rams specials teams have been a problem and then instant doink! 😂

It was a bizarre start to the game in general.
There was an early interception thrown by Cooper Rush, an early fumble lost by Matthew Stafford, and this.
Maybe it's just going to be one of those days between the Rams and Ravens. It certainly felt that way early on for Karty and the jinxes.
