The Los Angeles Rams have a lot of issues to address this offseason, with Matthew Stafford's future and the special teams unit being two of the bigger issues to address.
But another underrated problem that will present itself is the future of standout safety Kamren Curl. He's a 26-year-old veteran who had a great year for the Rams defense, and now, he will be a free agent.
Bringing him back would be nice, but unfortunately for Curl and the Rams, the update isn't great. According to Jeremy Fowler of ESPN, Curls future in Los Angeles is very much in doubt thanks to a $42 million signing the Rams did in the middle of the. Year.

"But Los Angeles just gave safety Quintin Lake a three-year, $42 million extension," Fowler writes, "so the chances of the team allocating two big contracts to its secondary are slim."
Curl might not be coming back to the Rams this offseason, and it would be thanks largely to the $42 million spent on fellow safety Quinten Lake.
While Curl has been great, with 122 tackles, two sacks, one forced fumble, two interceptions, and five passes defended this season, Lake has been better.

Lake hasn't had as many tackles or sacks as Curl this season, but his 10 passes defended in just 11 games, combined with his stellar coverage makes Lake the bigger priority for the Rams.
They extended him in the middle of the year, and that $42 million decision all but meant that Curl would leave in free agency this offseason.
There's still a chance that he comes back, but barring a collapsing free agent market, which is unlikely, this report from Fowler indicates that Curl will be on a new team next season.
