The Los Angeles Rams won't be keeping around a player who started 18 of his 32 career games for L.A.
An injury may have played a part, but regardless of the reason, the fact is that cornerback Derion Kendrick was waived on Friday.
Kendrick was a 2022 sixth-round pick who split his college career between Clemson and Georgia.
He started six games in his first season, then 12 the next. He picked off one pass and had 14 passes defensed and 92 tackles.
Kendrick missed the entire 2024 season with an ACL tear suffered in training camp.

After a year of rehab, he apparently won't get the chance to prove to the Rams that he's still got it.
L.A. has been linked to a trade for cornerback Jalen Ramsey, but that hasn't come to fruition yet.
Among the cornerbacks still on their roster are Darious Williams, Ahkello Witherspoon, Cobie Durant, Cam Lampkin and Emmanuel Forbes Jr.
Quentin Lake has the nickelback slot held down.
And Kendrick will have no choice but to look for a new team.
