Matthew Stafford injury update is concerning but won't keep Rams QB out of divisional-round game image

The Los Angeles Rams will take on the Chicago Bears in the divisional round over the weekend and there is an injury to watch with quarterback Matthew Stafford.

Rams head coach Sean McVay revealed that Stafford suffered a sprained index finger in the wild-card win over the Carolina Panthers.

McVay did say, however, that Stafford will be ready to play in the divisional-round game against the Chicago Bears.

"Sean McVay said Matthew Stafford sprained his index finger on his throwing hand but will be good to go against the Bears on Sunday," ESPN's Sarah Barshop relayed.

While it's good news that Stafford isn't in danger of missing the contest, there are still a few concerns here.

Those concerns are Stafford might not be operating at 100%, which may impact his throws in the crucial game, and he could be at a higher risk of re-injury during the contest.

In other injury news, McVay revealed that Ahkello Witherspoon is done for the playoffs due to a shoulder injury.

Other players such as guard Kevin Dotson, tight end Terrance Ferguson and cornerback Josh Wallace all have a chance to play.
