The Los Angeles Rams have been one of the premier teams not just in the NFC, but in the NFL this season. 

Led by head coach Sean McVay, they've been labeled as Super Bowl contenders for most of the season now. 

Los Angeles is riddled with talent at the skill position, with players like Puka Nacua, Davante Adams, and their 1-2 punch at RB of Kyren Williams and Blake Corum.

Even though the team has good players through and through, arguably none have been as good as QB Matthew Stafford. 

Stafford has been playing on another level this season and has rightfully found himself firmly planted in MVP conversations this year. 

While he and the Rams have had a turbulent last couple of weeks, including a gut-wrenching loss to Seattle, he has the chance to bolster that MVP case by accomplishing something not seen in the NFL since 2020. 

Matthew Stafford could win the QB triple crown

It's typically a title reserved for WRs who accomplish recording the most receptions, receiving yards, and TD receptions. This year, Matthew Stafford could break the mold again by recording a QB's triple crown. 

For a QB, a triple crown would be considered leading the NFL in passing yards, passing TDs, and passer rating, all of which Stafford currently leads. 

The last QB to accomplish this feat was Aaron Rodgers back in 2020. That season, he ended up winning his 3rd NFL MVP award. 

Will this history further repeat itself with Stafford earning his first-ever MVP award, or will the fact that the Rams didn't win the NFC West be too much for voters to consider? We'll have to see.
