The Los Angeles Rams desperately need wide receiver Davante Adams to step up in the Week 7 game against the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday.
That's because the Rams don't have the services of wide receiver Puka Nacua, who was ruled out with an ankle injury.
Adams has operated as the clear No. 2 wide receiver for the Rams so far this season, tallying 396 yards and three touchdowns entering Week 7.
But Adams is off to a surprisingly quiet start on Sunday despite being Matthew Stafford's No. 1 target. Here's a closer look at what's going on.
Is Davante Adams playing today?
UPDATE: Adams is on the board with his first catch on the Rams' second offensive series.
It went for 15 yards.
END OF UPDATE
Yes, Adams is active and on the field, he just hasn't reeled in a pass yet.
Adams was targeted twice on the opening drive, but Stafford couldn't connect with him. Stafford's favorite target on the opening series was tight end Tyler Higbee, who pulled in three catches for 20 yards.
Stafford was also doing a lot of checking it down with the inclement weather in London, so that further limited Adams' opportunities.
We fully expect the veteran wideout to get going soon, though.
