The status of wide receiver Davante Adams is once again up in the air for the Week 18 game against the Arizona Cardinals.
Adams re-aggravated his hamstring injury in Week 15 and hasn't played since. Adams did, however, show some progress in the week leading up to the game versus Arizona.
After not practicing at all the previous two weeks, Adams was able to log two limited practices and his questionable tag is an upgrade, also.
But none of that means he's certain to play in Week 18. Here's what we know about Adams' playing status for Sunday.
Is Davante Adams playing today?
Adams' status is not confirmed, so we'll have to make an educated guess.
Adams has a better chance to suit up this week than he has in the previous two weeks, given the fact that he actually practiced and has a questionable tag.
However, the lack of a full session suggests Adams may not be at 100% just yet.
With that in mind, we believe the Rams will continue to be cautious with Adams and will sit him out in Week 18 in order to avoid the risk of the veteran wideout making his injury worse, which could make him unavailable for the playoffs.
Sure, the Rams do need to win this game on Sunday in order to set up a more favorable first-round matchup, but Los Angeles should be able to beat a lowly Cardinals team without Adams on the field.
