The Los Angeles Rams are staring down the barrel of not having wide receiver Davante Adams for the most important game of the 2025 season.
Adams, who was on the injury report last week with a hamstring issue, aggravated the injury during the Week 15 win over the Detroit Lions, forcing his early exit.
After the game, Adams told head coach Sean McVay that he's optimistic about his chances of suiting up against the Seattle Seahawks, but McVay cast doubt on that optimism by saying he's not so sure Adams will be ready in time on a short week.
"So we'll see what that means," he said of Adams' evaluation. "I can't imagine that's good for Thursday with just the short amount of time, but I certainly wouldn't rule him out quite yet. But it didn't look good."
Davante Adams injury updates
On Tuesday, Adams continued trending in the direction of not playing, as McVay said the veteran wideout would not practice after he was a non-participant on Monday.
McVay said he isn't ruling Adams out and will take the decision up until game-time, so expect him to draw a questionable tag no matter what.
Making matters worse, Adams doesn't just have a hamstring issue, as he's listed with a knee injury on the team's injury report, also.
As if we needed more pessimism for Adams' status, NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reported that Adams is considered week to week because of the hamstring, which suggests he could miss multiple games.
"Rams WR Davante Adams, who left Sunday’s game with a hamstring injury, is considered week-to-week, sources say," Rapoport said.
Adams will have one more day to get in a practice on Wednesday. If he can do that, we'd be more confident in his chances of suiting up.
However, if he's a non-participant once again tomorrow, that would cast major doubt on the veteran's ability to suit up.
