Aaron Donald is one of the greatest defensive players in the history of football.
Lately, he's been getting plenty of recognition for that, too.
A few weeks ago, he stopped by the University of Pittsburgh for recognition at his college home.
Then he made a visit to the Los Angeles Rams, where he had a bobblehead night and some more public honoring.
Donald deserves every bit of it. There have been few interior defensive linemen like him, ever.
And he sure looks like he could still play. Could he?
Is Aaron Donald coming back from retirement?
There is no publicly reported indication that Donald is seeking a comeback.
The rumor has begun from this post on X, which has nearly three million views:

There is growing speculation that Aaron Donald is considering a return to the Rams for a deep playoff run.

That account often posts factual statistics and information, but it's not clear where this information traces from. Searching backward for it on X doesn't reach an origin.
Donald probably could still get the job done if he got back on the field. His workout videos are still incredibly impressive.
But until news like this comes from the major NFL reporters, it's hard to read too deep into it.
