The Los Angeles Chargers didn't even come close to having the game they expected in the Week 11 contest against the Jacksonville Jaguars.
The Jaguars completely blew the doors off the Chargers over the first three quarters of the game, creating a blowout situation in a game that everyone expected to be close.
Now, as the Chargers sit in the fourth quarter down 35-6, Justin Herbert has been pulled for backup Trey Lance.
Here's a closer look at what's going on.
Why Chargers pulled Justin Herbert vs. Jaguars
With the score as lopsided as it is, it only made sense to pull Herbert from the game to avoid losing him to injury with the game already decided.
Herbert had briefly exited the game in the first half due to an injury, so that only added more motivation to pull Herbert in the fourth quarter.
Live to fight another day, as they say.
