The Los Angeles Chargers are cruising to begin the 2025 season and are one of only six unbeaten teams remaining in the league. This Sunday, they face the winless New York Giants.
The Giants have been bad for quite some time now and their performance has been ugly this season. But they are going to try and switch that up by inserting rookie Jaxson Dart into the starting lineup.
The Chargers have Justin Herbert playing at an MVP level and if they can avoid a speedbump against a team they should beat, they will get to 4-0 for the first time in more than two decades. How do the experts see this one going?
Los Angeles Chargers vs. New York Giants Week 4 expert picks
Vinnie Iyer, The Sporting News: Chargers 30, Giants 10
"The Chargers have unleashed rookie running back Omarion Hamption and will pound him as the new clear workhorse on a weak Giants' run defense. Then they will swarm Jaxson Dart with pass rush and coverage after stopping the run, trying to squash the true beginning of the rookie QB era. Justin Herbert and Jim Harbaugh win another big road game together."
Bill Bender, The Sporting News: Chargers 24, Giants 14
"Jim Harbaugh's formula of grinding teams with a tough running game and defense is working, but keep an eye on the protection. Justin Herbert has taken 10 sacks through three games – the fourth-most in the league. The Giants will bring that rush, but Russell Wilson will struggle against a sound Chargers' defense that allows just 276.7 yards per game."
Jeremy Cluff, Arizona Republic: Chargers 30, Giants 20
"The Chargers finally play a game against a non-division opponent after opening the year with wins over the Kansas City Chiefs, Las Vegas Raiders and Denver Broncos. Justin Herbert and company will move to 4-0, while Russell Wilson and company will fall to 0-4."
Pete Prisco, CBS Sports: Chargers 26, Giants 14
"This is a long trip for the undefeated Chargers, but the Giants have done little on offense to excite anybody, which is why rookie Jaxson Dart will make his first NFL start. He faces a tough defense with coordinator Jesse Minter. Justin Herbert will stay hot on the other side as the Chargers win it."
