There was a time, not long ago when some fans of the Los Angeles Chargers thought that new head coach Jim Harbaugh and general manager Joe Hortiz weren't doing enough at the wide receiver position. Some were quite upset (and maybe still are) that they chose Joe Alt over Malik Nabers in the first round of the draft.

The team compensated for that by drafting Ladd McConkey in the second round and then adding both Brenden Rice and Cornelius Johnson in the seventh round. But the team may not be done adding to the position.

Tyler Boyd has 513 career receptions for 6,000 yards and 31 touchdowns. He was still productive last season, catching 67 passes in Cincinnati. The former second-round pick has spent his entire eight-year career with the Bengals.

According to Jeremy Fowler, Boyd has already met with the Chargers and also has a visit scheduled with the Tennessee Titans.

If Boyd and the Chargers do reach an agreement, it makes plenty of sense. The Chargers' group has gotten deeper but it is young and inexperienced. Boyd would be the perfect veteran to bring in to help others learn from.
