The Los Angeles Chargers had some exciting undrafted free agents on the roster this summer, and they couldn't manage to keep them in the fold.
Dalevon Campbell, an undrafted free agent out of South Carolina, had a strong preseason for the team, catching eight passes for 147 yards and making a good push to make the 53-man roster in the final preseason game. Instead, the team chose to waive him following the preseason. The plan was likely to bring him back to the practice squad but the Carolina Panthers swooped in and claimed him off waivers.
It looked like the Panthers would be the team to take advantage of his huge upside, but the team released him on October 10. Less than one week later, he is back with the Chargers. Campbell will revert to the practice squad, joining Jalen Reagor, JaQuae Jackson and Luke Grimm as wide receivers already there.
Campbell is an intriguing prospect for the team at 6-foot-4 and 220 pounds.

If he can combine that size with some better route-running, he can be a player to watch for the future in L.A. The Chargers made a good decision to get him back on the roster where he can be further developed by a coaching staff that was starting to bring out the best in his abilities just a few months ago.
In other transactions, the Chargers brought defensive back Myles Purchase back to the practice squad while releasing offensive lineman Josh Kaltenberger from the practice squad.
