The Los Angeles Chargers have added wide receiver Jalen Reagor to the practice squad. The former first-round pick will be in his second stint with the team after being released last month with an injury settlement.
Reagor will join Luke Grimm and JaQuae Jackson as wide receivers on the practice squad. He spent much of last season on the practice squad but played in eight games with two starts and caught seven passes for 100 yards.
Joining Reagor on the practice squad is center Josh Kaltenberger. To make room for these additions, the Chargers released linebacker Kana'i Mauga and offensive lineman Michael Dunn from the practice squad.
Mauga looked like he might be a sneaky addition this offseason after spending the previous three seasons with the Las Vegas Raiders. Dunn's stay in L.A. was short. He was just signed to the practice squad on September 30.
The Chargers continue to tinker with their offensive line with starting tackles Rashawn Slater and Joe Alt out and Mekhi Becton battling injuries. According to the team's Thursday injury report, Trey Pipkins and Jamaree Salyer did not practice as well, meaning things could get ugly for the Chargers along the offensive line on Sunday against the Miami Dolphins.
In addition, wide receiver Derius Davis also missed practice. Reagor would be one step closer to being elevated from the practice squad already if he can't go.
