The Los Angeles Chargers don't have an enviable running back situation.
Najee Harris is out for the season. And now Omarion Hampton is on Injured Reserve and will miss a minimum of four games.
That leaves the Chargers deep down the RB depth chart.
It looks like their main options for now are Hassan Haskins and Kimani Vidal. And there are three reasons to expect Haskins as the guy who will see the most work.

Hassan Haskins vs. Kimani Vidal
First-half usage
The RB that was supplementing Hampton in the first half of the Week 5 game, while he was still healthy, was Haskins.
Vidal didn't get in until after Hampton got hurt.
Trey Lance pairing
When the Chargers pulled their starters against the Commanders, Haskins was on the sideline.
It was Vidal who got to play with backup QB Trey Lance, signaling Vidal is less thought of at the moment.

Michigan
Haskins played at Michigan. Yes, for Jim Harbaugh, the Chargers' head coach.
That familiarity could make all the difference.
