The Los Angeles Chargers have gotten a positive injury update on star edge rusher Khalil Mack.
According to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport and Mike Garafolo, Mack sustained a dislocated elbow in the Week 2 win over the Las Vegas Raiders, but the injury is not season-ending and Mack is only expected to miss a few weeks.
"Chargers legend Khalil Mack, who left Monday’s win over the Raiders with a dislocated elbow, is expected to be back in a few weeks," Rapoport wrote."
Mack exited the game for good in the first quarter and returned to the bench with his elbow heavily wrapped and in a sling.
With the timeline at "a few weeks," Mack could miss two or three contests. Los Angeles has games with the Denver Broncos, New York Giants and Washington Commanders in that span.
Through two games, Mack has posted one sack and four pressures. He finished last season with six sacks.
The Chargers are in better shape than most teams would be in the same situation thanks to the presence of Bud Dupree and Tuli Tuipulotu, who combined for 14.5 sacks last season.
