The Los Angeles Chargers' backfield, for the first time in a while in an injury-plagued season, is about to get more crowded.
Omarion Hampton is working his way back, and Kimani Vidal has been playing well.
The Chargers don't play until Monday night in Week 14, and it's all complicated by the uncertain status of Justin Herbert to take on the Philadelphia Eagles.
There won't be an official injury report until Thursday, but reporters did share updates from the Chargers' practice on Wednesday.

The main points were this: Trey Lance ran the offense as QB1, and Hampton got reps with him, albeit in a non-contact jersey.

Given how well Vidal has played, and how long Hampton has been out, it's safe to expect this to be at least a committee in the first week of Hampton's return.
It's not clear if the rookie out of UNC can claim the lion's share of the work down the stretch if he looks good and healthy.
First, Hampton has to get out of the non-contact jersey and be officially active Monday night.
If it gets to that point, then Chargers fans and fantasy football players can wonder about Vidal's future value.
